More SNG success...

Hey all.

I played in two SNG's on Royal Vegas Poker yesterday.

In the first one, I took a second place finish. In the second one, I finished 7th. I'm not too disappointed about that one as I got my money in with A-K and the guy called with A-Q. However, the flop came A-Q-x....and well you know how the rest of the story goes. I was the huge favourite to win the hand but things didn't work out...but I made the right decision and he made the mistake....so that is that.

The strategy that I have been working on for single table SNG's seems to be working alright so far...but it is a small sample. I'm hoping to get more chances to play this week and, if so, will release the results.

SNG Strategy and success.

Hey all (or "one" if the audience who reads this this is really low).

I was watching a couple of poker videos that my boss downloaded from BitTorrent (he got me started on this whole game in the first place). However, the videos started off with some sort of tutorial on a piece of software to use for SNG games. Basically, it gives percentages and stuff on how good your hand is.

No, I didn't get that software. However, it gave me some ideas on how to re-approach my SNG game. So I tried it on Royal Vegas...and got a 3rd place finish at a STT event. Not bad...50 cent profit ;-).

What? Only 50 cents? Yeah, the sit-n-gos at Royal Vegas start at a $1 buy-in. If you want to play some cheap sit-n-goes, Royal Vegas would be a place to go and try your game. Tell them "kk_rush" sent you....

PokerStars Tourney Results...and some other things.

Well the PokerStars Blogger tourney didn't go well. It felt like getting your car stuck in the mud. Even with the raising and stealing of blinds, I hovered around the 2000 chip mark the whole time. Win a little here...lose a little there. Eventually, I got short-stacked and pushed with A-6 of hearts. Of course, someone woke up with A-A so that was that.

That bonus with Party Poker? Gone...poof. When I had it cleared, there was about $12 left. You really can't play cash games with it (since the games start at 0.50/1.00) and playing $1 tourneys would have been boring. So I tried a couple of Omaha Hi/Lo SNG's. They could have gone better (finished 7th in both). Another "car stuck in mud" situation.

My account in Royal Vegas is around $16 from the initial amount of $10. Seems to be around there for awhile now.

I have been toying around with my aggression game to see if it changes results. I'll keep you posted.

*Yawn*

Sorry...bit tired this morning.

Well as long as Party Poker keeps giving me money, I'll be happy. They gave out a $20 bonus on the condition that you use it to play poker and sit in on 200 raked hands over 10 days after you activate the bonus. This is pretty easy to do if you multi-table and play tight. I played in the lowest-limit NL Hold em games and made a small profit ($2) and got about 1/4 of the way through my required 200 raked hands in about 45 minutes. I should have made more but made some stupid mistakes like I usually do.

On my Royal Vegas account. My free $10 seems to stagnate around the $17-$18 dollar mark. I win some....lose some....then win a SNG to get my losses back. It is a little frustrating as I would like to double it up to $20 but I'm sure I will get there.

I'm excited about the upcoming blogger tournament on Pokerstars this Sunday. I feel like I will do well. Just have to play my game...and not make those bonehead plays like I seem to do when I get bored. Keep focused.....
