Still chugging away...

Well I did some experiments in multi-tabling and the results were mixed.

At this point, I don't think 4-tabling is doing me any good. Basically, whatever I was gaining on one table I was losing on another. So it kind of defeats the purpose.

The max number of tables now that I play is 2 (unless I'm playing a tournament...I have a specific strategy for the tournies I play so my decisions are more automatic).

I've played in 3 Daily Dollar tournaments on Full Tilt and have cashed in 2 of them. Not too shabby considering the relatively large fields in those events. I save them for a weekend treat when I don't have to worry about being up late (which happens when you cash in them things).

My play on Full Tilt is going okay right now. I've been playing in the 6-max games. Thanks to pokertableratings.com, I've been finding some softer games and having some positive results.

As for Pokerstars, I've been finding soft games but not having much luck. Getting sucked out on fairly often when the money goes in. The last one was AK vs AQ and a Queen hit the flop. Nothing you can do about it...I'm hoping things turn around soon.

I'm still debating moving money from PokerTime to another site. At this point, I'm leaning towards Party Poker as they seem to have a lot of traffic. They are also publicly traded, so that gives me better confidence. They are starting up some sort of Gladiator promotion which looks interesting. However, in looking at the terms/conditions for the promotion, I would probably have to play outside my normal bankroll guidelines to make it worth my while. I'm thinking that I may want to bring the amount up to $100 or so before I make the move...but we'll see.

The November 9 is fast approaching. Based on chip counts, Darvin Moon should win. However, given the caliber of talent at that final table, I don't think he will take it down. I'm guessing he'll get a top 3 finish....which would be great for him I'm sure.

I suspect the poker community wants Phil Ivey to take it. He is the best player in the world when he is focused....and I know he wants this one.

Anyway, good luck to everybody.

Congrats to Mike Sexton and other things...

First off, congrats to Mike Sexton as being the ONLY inductee into the Poker Hall of Fame this year. It seems, based on what I've been reading, that he was a shoo-in with the voters. A well respected man among his poker peers.

As for myself....online poker is a really strange thing. My results for the whole year suggest that I've pretty much broken even or maybe slightly ahead. However, my actual bankroll has grown a fair bit. Gotta love bonuses and rakeback I guess. My Full Tilt account has pretty much well bankrolled for my current game so that is cool. It is also has an easier way of getting my deposit bonus.

As for Pokerstars, that account is fine but I think that I'm not going to make much on the bonus....seems to be a real bitch to reach at my current bankrolled limits.

I'm still debating moving some money from that smaller site to another one....but it is still up in the air which site it will be. Right now, I'm thinking either Party, Cake, or maybe Everest....right now I'm leaning more towards Party but we'll see. I may just play on that smaller site and see if I get the amount there to a higher level.

One highlight from my recent playing was the Daily Dollar tournament on Full Tilt. I tried one of those last week...and it had a little over 10000 entries (yikes) by the time registration closed. I managed to get into the money and placed somewhere in the mid 600's tripling my buyin. Not too shabby...but takes a long time to play for a small amount of money. Still fun though which I guess is the point.

I'm not overall worried about my actual returns at this point. With the micro limits I'm playing, a step up in limits and a bad session can eliminate a fair bit of profit. However, since my bankroll is increasing regardless of results, I can't complain too much.

Full Tilt Promotion a success....

Hello.

I managed to complete the Full Tilt Take 2 promotion for September and, basically, doubled my bankroll on that site. The extra amount was enough for me to move up to the .02/.05 cash games with an appropriate bankroll for those limits. In addition, I'm also getting rakeback on this site so money, hopefully, will be trickling in there soon from that.

My Pokerstars money was a little slow going but it is starting to go in the right direction there as well. I think the deposit bonus is going to be pretty hard to clear at my current limits but we will see how it goes.

I'm thinking of removing more money from that small pokersite and depositing it elsewhere...but I haven't decided where yet. Could be Party Poker....or somewhere else. No rush on that yet.
