There are days when I hate this game.....

Well let's see, I lost 2 BI's in my cash game. Seems when I have a hand, someone else has a better one. Have JJ on button and raise..guy in SB has A7o and calls and hits his ace on the flop. Played in another tournament, no AA or KK or AK, can't seem to steal anything...make it halfway through field. Try a double or nothing SNG...can't seem to get anything going...had about 15 BB....raised on flop with Qs10c...get one caller. Flop comes AcQcJc. Go all in....get called by guy with AsKc.....out in 8th.....FUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Seems to have been that way lately. Getting cold-decked left right and centre. I know I played one hand wrong but I'm not going to bother with the details. Thankfully, my stringent practices in bankroll management (5% cash game, 2% tournament) is keeping my limited Pokerstars bankroll in check. Just incredibly frustrating recently. I'm probably not going to play for a couple of days just to get my head on straight as I was steaming a bit last night. Just majorly pissed right now at the way things have gone the last few days......sheesh.

So close....

I went onto Full Tilt Friday and saw that they were having a contest for a trip to Montreal to see the UFC event next month.

Basically, you have to play in a qualifier tournament and the top 18 of these weekly qualifiers play in a final tournament where the top 2 get the seats for the trip.

I decided to take a shot in a qualifier and there were 800 entrants. When the dust settled, I was in the top 18! I think I was about 4th or 5th in chips at the time.

The final tournament yesterday had 212 entrants with the top 2 getting the seats. I managed to get through 2 breaks but finished 43rd. I was doing well but my two pair ran into a set which short-stacked me. I ultimately pushed with 7-5 and ran into A-10 and A-Q. Got a 5 on the flop but a queen on the turn sealed the deal.

I might try again later this week.

Full Tilt Bust

Well I did have money on Full Tilt.

I had a little bit of money from a Full Tilt freeroll....so I decided to play cash games with it and see how it went. I got it up over 3 dollars but some bad beats, some bad play, and some bad variance made it disappear.

Things were running well...then I had several sessions where I didn't get any cards and, when I did get a hand, someone had a better one...ugh.

No big deal. It is a shame since I was trying to do some of the challenges on their academy site but I can still do the videos/sng learns to work my way into some freerolls.

Hey, if Chris Ferguson tried this challenge and went broke a few times, I have nothing to be ashamed over. Will have to pick things up and try again.

My other sites are going fine so no worries there. I enjoy playing...which is the most important thing.

Strange few days.

On a whim, I decided to play a PLO8 SNG. Don't usually play this game....I finished 3rd and doubled my buyin. Kinda pissed actually as at one point, I had more chips than the other two players combined....but this game is a funny one.

I've been doing a challenge for myself on Full Tilt. I've been trying to run my amazing $1 and see where I go. I lost about half of it in one session. With a measly 20BB in a .01/.02 6 max game, I managed to triple up. This could be fun to see what happens.
