Interesting......time to make a decision.

I've always told myself that I wouldn't deposit on UB given the recent cheating scandal.

However, I received an email saying that they are offering a free $10 with a deposit of as little as $10 dollars.

I've been thinking of moving money from PokerTime to Party for a little while now. Then this shows up....PokerTime requires a withdrawal to be a minimum of $50 dollars.

Here is what I'm thinking at this point. I'm going to play on PokerTime (with some time on Full Tilt to keep working on that bonus) to grind up the money a bit. I'm now leaning towards withdrawing for money on Party with a minimal deposit for UB to grab that 10 bucks. With $20 total on UB, that should be enough to start grinding on their lowest cash games. I'll forgo the usual bonus signup since I'm finding that, with the exception of Full Tilt, trying to hit bonuses with micro-stake bankrolls is pretty much useless.

I'll probably decide around the 25th (I have until the 30th) after some more playing. Stay tuned...

Congrats to Joe Cada.

So Joe Cada wins the WSOP Main event. Congrats to him.

Personally, I wonder about a 21 year old coming into a lot of money like that. Hope he is mature enough to handle it.

Of course, it is ironic that he will end up with less money than Darvin Moon who got second place. Apparently Joe Cada is backed so 50% of his winnings go to his backers.

Anyway, congrats to him.

The Canadian Poker Expo took place this weekend. You can read my review at this link.

Interesting session last night.

I had some time to play last night.

I tried my luck again at Full Tilt's daily dollar and busted out in the bottom 3rd. Really didn't get anything going. I eventually picked up QQ and re-raised a raiser who had me covered. He eventually called. The flop brought 9-9-x. He checked. Since the pot was also my remaining stack size, I shoved. He called with......A9s. Figures. Probably should have shoved with QQ preflop but the stacks were relatively large to the blind sizes so that wouldn't have been ideal. Ah well.

During that, I was playing a table on Pokerstars in a 6-max cash game. PokerTableRatings.com had this as a juicy table and it was.....for everyone else. Seems to be the trend on Pokerstars for me recently. I really haven't gained any traction yet. My $2 eventually got drilled down to 45 cents or so. I can't say that I played really bad. Some loose calls in spots but there was a lot of limping so I was able to see cheap flops that I didn't connect with.

However, I was patient. The table eventually for a while became a heads-up event. I generally suck at heads-up play. However, I felt that I had a handle on this opponent and eventually started clawing back my money. A couple of new players joined the game and, when it was all said and done, I got my buyin back plus a couple of big blinds (lol). Actually, despite the lack of profit, I was pleased that I could claw back most of my buy-in. Hopefully, I can gain some more positive results on Stars.
