Things are going well....

Hey all.

Well things have been going well when I decided to drop some of the tricks in the bag as it were. I just play patient and get aggressive with good hands and things have been paying off. I erased my deficit after those disasterous PLO8 sessions and have built up a bit on my 0.10/0.20 cent limit holdem game. My limit Omaha 8 is going well too.

In reviewing my play, I think I am a limit player at best for cash games...I don't think the aggression is there yet for no limit play other than tournaments or the occassional SNG. I want to start building up my bankroll so that I can effectively go after bonuses on other sites....which is the next step. However, I'm happy with the way things are so I can't complain...

Boycott Absolute Poker....

Quick question....

Is it possible to play really well...and not win a dime?

I had this happen playing LHE. I can honestly say that I played well....and just got outdrawn or missed my draw to the best hand (but had the pot odds to call and such). I even knew what the other players held.

Unfortunately, it didn't pan out....and don't get me started on PLO 8. I tried that a bit and got creamed in my two sessions.

Fortunately, this forces me to regroup and restudy...and it seems to be working out. I'll let you know...

A month?

Geez...where does the time go? I didn't realize it had been that long.

I haven't been writing....mainly because I haven't been playing a whole lot. I played about 6 sit-n-gos and cashed in 3 of them.

I also played my first online rebuy tournament. It paid the top 50 and I finished around 80th or so out of over 300. I only had to rebuy once and did an add-on at the end of the rebuy period as well. Frankly, I need to get a little more aggressive in tournaments and not be afraid of someone holding the nuts as it were...but live and learn...plus I had fun (which is what this game should be about anyways).

Things have been busy with my home life so that I don't get to the virtual felt as often as I would like...but a hobby should pass time and not fill it. Some people forget about that.

I have a suggestion for international players outside the US who, like me, are not directly affected by this piece of US censorship. Why would you play on a site that bans players. My suggestion? Boycott those sites as well. Spend your money somewhere else (or earn your money somewhere else if that is more appropriate).
