Been a while but things are good...

Hey all (if anyone).

No I haven't disappeared or gone broke. Things are fine.

I've started properly recording my results (good or bad) in a spreadsheet. It pretty much concludes so far that I suck at NL cash games and seem to have decent success with SNG's. I'm up about 8% in my bankroll using SNG's as the main feeder. I'm trying a particular formula that Kristy Gazes has suggested in interviews she has done. Consider moving up if you cash in 3 straight SNG's (She was talking about cash game sessions...but I think the analogy still applies here). I'm going to start trying that and see how it goes.

I soon have to use my entries for the Pokerstars Team Canada freerolls that they are offering for the WSOP main event. That would be cool if I could snag one of those 10 seats....difficult task though.

I may soon have another trip to a B&M coming up. My wife is talking about taking our daughter and visiting my folks plus her grandmother out east in July. I may take some time off then to take a visit to a local joint. Just have to save up a bit of money between now and then. Fun fun fun....

Boo-yah....thank you PocketFives.com!!!

Hey folks (if anyone).

I made it a goal this year to get my bankroll up to $100.00 by the end of the year. It was hovering around $65 or so thus I felt it was possible.

For the last little while, I've been reading things on PocketFives.com about tournament strategy and stuff. Basically, I realized that I needed to be a little more aggressive in my play..particularly in the mid-stage portions of the tournament.

Well, I decided to try my luck in a $1 tourney on PokerTime (the new Royal Vegas Poker) that had about 370 entrants.

I got 2nd place for $60 bucks! Sweet. Nice to double the bankroll while playing within it! Really cool.

This put me over my goal. It also allows me to play in bigger cash games and SNG's. I normally played in the $1 SNG's so I decided to play in a $2.50 one (finished 6th) but I got a second place in a $1 SNG to make a $1 profit. I then played in another $2.50 and got a first ($12.50).

Life is good. It will be nice to have more choices in terms of games to play.
